Scene: A cozy living room. Two friends, Alex and Jamie, are sitting on a couch, surrounded by books and papers.

(They both look up as the door opens and a third friend, Sam, enters.)

Sam: (enters) Hey guys, I heard you two were working on something interesting.

Alex: (smiling) Yes, Jamie here is teaching me some advanced English dialogues.

Jamie: (smiling back) That’s right. We’re writing a short play in English.

Sam: (curious) Oh, can we see it?

Jamie: Sure! Let’s start with the opening scene.

(They both get up and move to the center of the room.)

Alex: (to Jamie) You’re going first. What do you want to say?

Jamie: Alright. (clears throat) “Hi, Alex. How are you today?”

Alex: (nods) “Hi Jamie. I’m doing well, thanks for asking.”

Jamie: (smiling) Good. Now you say this. “I was wondering if you could help me with a few things.”

Alex: (nodding) “Sure, what do you need help with?”

Jamie: “Well, I’m trying to write a short play in English. I need some advice on how to make it more engaging.”

Alex: “Sure thing! What’s the theme of your play?”

Jamie: “It’s about two friends who are trying to improve their English skills.”

Alex: “That sounds great! How about adding some humor or conflict?”

Jamie: (nodding) That’s a good idea. Maybe we can add a misunderstanding between us.

Alex: (smiling) Perfect! How about this line? “I thought you said we were going to meet at the library at 3 PM.”

Jamie: (laughing) That works! And my line could be, “Oh no, I must have forgotten my watch again.”

Alex: (chuckling) Nice one!

(They both laugh and continue their dialogue.)

Sam: (excitedly) This is really fun! Can we add more characters?

Jamie: Sure! Let’s think of a few more lines.

(They continue writing and rehearsing their dialogue for a while.)

Alex: (looking at Jamie) This is really helping me improve my English.

Jamie: And it’s making our friendship stronger too!

Sam: You two are such great friends!

(They all laugh
